Ísafold is a warehouse and distribution center owned and operated by our Icelandic family and based in Portland, Maine.
Bringing in 50+ years of experience in international shipping and logistics, we focus our fulfillment services on helping both international and domestic businesses grow in the North American market.

IMPORT
Ísafold handles the import of your goods, from transportation to the United States to customs clearance step-by-step — ensuring a smooth and hassle free process for your business.
STORAGE
Because storage needs vary greatly customer to customer, we offer both short- and long-term storage and a variety of sizes to accommodate your needs. Our brand-new Maine warehouse is equipped to handle your storage needs, and the Ísafold team is committed to adapting with your company as you grow.
PICK & PACK
Orders are received 24 hours a day, year round. Those received before noon ET during business days are picked, packed, and sent out on the same day. We take pride in our specialized packing methods, ensuring that your products arrive in the best possible condition.
DISTRIBUTION
Each week, Ísafold ships thousands of packages throughout North America – partnering with FedEx, UPS, and USPS to deliver your product directly to the customer at the speed and price that works best for your business. International shipping is also available.
FREIGHT
We offer a comprehensive range of domestic and international services— including ocean freight, air freight, domestic rail, and trucking services. Working with our sister business NACLine, we will ensure that your business has access to a weekly service between Europe and the US.
ACCESS
The Ísafold team uses 3PL Warehouse Manager, a comprehensive warehouse management platform that makes it easy for you to manage your inventory and for us to automate routine tasks, saving you time and money.
TEAM
Ísafold was established in 2017 by Óli Matthíasson and Begga Hreinsdóttir, with a mission to help Icelandic start-up companies as they grow in the United States. Seven years later, we are proud to bridge the gap between dozens of international and domestic webshops and North American customers.
Our family is deeply involved with fulfillment, shipping, logistics, and Icelandic products. Our other businesses include North Atlantic Cargo Line (NACLine), an international shipping company with a focus on routes between North America, Greenland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, and Northern Europe. Ísafold Distribution Center is a subsidiary of North Atlantic Cargo Line (NAC-Line).
